The Fascinating World of Encryption

There used to be a special prize you could get, out of a box of cereal or cracker jacks, that was called a secret decoder ring. You could also order them out of the back of comic books. Sometimes. If you found the right comic book. Green Lantern was a good bet. I tell you, that ring was cool.

Now, the same concept is applied to create secure web connections and transactions. It’s used to protect your medical records, your credit card, and your social media.

It has become a lot more advanced nowadays.

As a matter of personal observation, most often, I’ve seen encryption patterns that move not between two circles, but in ever-expanding curved arcs, that randomly shift frequencies and reverse their flow. Each crucial data item is encoded (encrypted) repeatedly, layer on layer, each set of data programmed to check itself and it’s receiver for correct authentication.
